CLAT- Common Law Admission Test is an Entrance Exam conducted by 11 National Law Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree programmes.

- Duration of examination :-Two Hours
Subject areas with weightage:
- English including Comprehension :- 40 Marks
- General Knowledge/ Current Affairs :- 50 Marks
- Mathematics:- 20 Marks
- Logical Reasoning :- 45 Marks
- Legal Aptitude/Legal Awareness:- 45 Marks
CLAT LLM 2012 Paper Pattern:-
Total Marks:- 200
Duration of examination:- Two Hours
Subject areas:- Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law and Legal Theory
Total Number of questions
Objective Type:- 100 questions of one mark each
Essay:- 2 questions of 50 marks each
CLAT Notification / Important Dates:-
* Publication of advertisement in leading English/Hindi national daily Newspapers:- 2nd January, 2012 (Monday)
* Issue of application forms from all CLAT -2012 participating universities and specified branches of SBI from – 2nd January, 2012 (Monday)
* Last Date for submission of filled-in entrance examination application forms – 31st March 2012 (Saturday)
* Issue of Hall Tickets to the candidates from – Up to 14th April 2012 (Saturday)
* Date of Admissions test for UG/PG – 13th May 2012 (Sunday) from 03:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
* Completion of admission process – 30th June 2012 (Saturday)
* Commencement of classes – 2nd July 2012 (Monday)
CLAT 2012 Eligibility:-
For Integrated 5 years BA/B.Sc/B Psc**/ BBA/ BCom LL.B (Hons) Degree Course:- Candidate should have passed his/her Higher Secondary School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC and persons with Disability)
For Two Year LL.M Degree Course:- Candidate should have obtained a LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST /OBC and persons with Disability)
